Privacy Policy
Personal Information
Only if users provide them, we may collect and maintain personal information provided, including their names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and so forth. The amount of information users provide is completely voluntary; however, providing less information might limit a user’s ability to access all of the site’s features, for example customer service, comments, announcements, etc.
As a general policy, we use personal information and message data for internal purposes only. We do not sell or rent information about you. We will not disclose personal information or message data to third parties without our consent, except as explained in this Privacy Policy. The Company cooperates with government and law enforcement officials to enforce and comply with the law. We may therefore disclose personal information, usage data, message data, and any other information about you, if we deem that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process (such as a subpoena or court order), or enforceable governmental request; (b) enforce the Terms of Use, including investigation of potential violations thereof; (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; or (d) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of the Company, its users or the public, as required or permitted by law. Information will be subject to the laws of the United States of America, regardless of the country from which user data originates.
- Contact Forms: Any information users provide in the contact form may be used to contact users for customer service or to respond to the comments in the contact form. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
- Comments: When users leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the user’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. User comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
- Gravatars: An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
- Images and Videos: If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Users to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
